Respected Principal, Teachers, and dear fellows Assalamualaikum! Today I’ve to talk about the topic “23rd March Pakistan Day, Pakistan Resolution Day”. Let me start the speech by taking you back to the historical day of the Pakistan Resolution on 23rd March 1940.
On 23rd March 1940, the Lahore Resolution was presented by Molvi A.K Fazlul Haq at the annual session of the Muslim League. The Lahore Resolution was held at Lahore in Minto Park (Iqbal Park). Later, Minar e Pakistan was built in commemoration of the Lahore Resolution. Sir Shah Nawaz Khan was the chief of the reception committee and Mian Bashir Ahmad was appointed as secretary of the 27th annual session of the Muslim League. Chaudhry Khaliquzzaman, Nawab Muhammad Ismail Khan, Nawab Bahadur Yar Jang, A.K. Fazlul Haq, Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar, Abdullah Haroon, I.I. Chundrigar, Qazi Muhammad Isa, Sardar Aurangzeb Khan, Khawaja Nazimuddin, Abdul Hashim, and Malik Barkat Ali were the prominent leaders of the Lahore Resolution. Lahore Resolution stated that Muslims must be provided a separate state with proper rights. This Resolution was presented on 23rd March 1940 but passed on 24th March. This acceptance of the Lahore Resolution strengthens the Muslim League for further struggle by displaying the idea of the Two Nations Theory.
Quaid-e-Azam addressed the nation during Pakistan Day, he said:
“Hindus and the Muslims belong to two different religious philosophies, social traditions, and literature. They neither inter-marry nor inter-dine jointly, and, indeed, they belong to two different nations that are founded mainly on clashing ideas and beliefs. Their concepts on life and of life are different. It is absolutely clear that Hindus and Muslims develop their enthusiasm from different citations of history. They have different rhymes, different heroes, and different events. Very often the hero of one is an opponent of the other nation and furthermore, their accomplishments and defeats coincide.
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah addressed the Muslims of the subcontinent gathered at the Pakistan Resolution. It was stated that Muslims of the subcontinent wouldn’t accept any idea or decision until the approval of a separate country. The
